Your rental in 10 questions

How do I select and reserve a yacht?

To enjoy the best possible price and the best choice available, we recommend booking your charter a few months in advance – particularly for events such as the Cannes Film Festival or the Monaco Grand Prix. But reservations can also be made at the last minute. To choose the boat that matches your needs, we give you a selection of the yachts available in the geographic area of your choice. The yachts are listed according to the criteria you select. Your boat will be reserved once the signed charter contract and the deposit have been received.

How many guests can I invite on board?

Most yachts can welcome up to 12 people on board. The number of people with sleeping accommodation is specific to each yacht. The yacht capacity does not include the crew cabins. The capacity of each yacht is set out in the prevailing regulations.

Are pets accepted on board?

Generally pets are not accepted on a yacht. However, you can ask the boat’s owner, who is the only one who can agree to your pet being accepted. If your pet is admitted on board, a deposit is generally required in order to cover any possible incidents.

Is the crew included in the reservation?

The boat’s crew and insurance are included in the rental fee. The skipper is in charge of sailing the boat, as well as managing all the crew. Sailors and hostesses may be present (the number depends on the size of the yacht selected). They are in charge of on-board tasks, and will be always available to answer your requests.

How much does a rental cost?

The rental price of your yacht with its crew depends on the size of the yacht, the type of yacht (engine or sail) and the age of the yacht. The duration of the charter obviously determines its total cost, as well as the amount of the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). Our team will negotiate the best yachts available for you according to your needs.

Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA)

The charter fee only covers the rental costs of the boat and crew. All other expenses are covered by the APA, which is usually 30% of the charter fee, before taxes. The APA covers fuel expenses, victualling, dockage, etc. Any APA that is not used is returned to you at the end of the charter. If expenses exceed the total APA during the charter, you will be asked to pay the extra amount before leaving the ship.

Once you have chosen your yacht, we send you a “preference list” to prepare your stay in the best possible conditions. The list helps us make sure that all the food and drink you would like to have is available on the yacht.

Boarding & delivery of yacht

In general, boarding takes place at the yacht’s home port. However, it is possible to board at another port. In this case, delivery and return charges are added to the rental costs.

What activities are available during the charter?

When you rent your yacht, and depending on the boat’s equipment, certain activities are available, such as diving, canoeing, jet skiing, water skiing, wakeboard, fishing, etc.* If this equipment is not available on board the selected yacht, you can rent it for an extra fee. We are naturally ready to help with any request for additional activities too.
* Some activities require a licence or a diploma.

A deposit of 50% of the total amount of the charter must be paid one month in advance. The remaining 50% must be paid, at the latest, before the departure of the yacht for your charter. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, remote payment (online or bank transfer) or in cash. American Express and Maestro cards are not accepted.

Can I cancel a charter?

Cancellation of a charter is only possible in the event of force majeure. In this case, the charter can be postponed to a later date according the availability of the yacht. For more information, please consult the terms and conditions of the MYBA contract.
